Olga Szwed’s life is all about fashion. She designs clothing, including custom-made suits, for private clients. Her couture bridal gowns have a cult following. Meanwhile, she is busily developing her own fashion brand.

Olga’s projects take her to many corners of the fashion world, but her skill and passion for design remain constant. Background: Born and raised in Eastern Europe, Olga always wanted to be a fashion designer. She pursued her fashion dreams and came to Seattle, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the International Academy of Design and Technology. After graduating, she began designing couture clothing for private clients and opened a bridal dress salon, La Belle Reve. Olga’s glamorous, European-inspired gowns have been selected to show at Bellevue Collection Fashion Week, Los Angeles Metropolitan Fashion Week, and in many local fashion and runway shows. Olga has been featured in multiple publications, including Seattle Times, 425 Magazine, Seattle Metropolitan, and Bellevue Reporter.

After owning La Belle Reve for seven years, Olga decided to sell the salon. These days she’s focused on creating original designs for private clients and on launching her own clothing brand. She takes much of her inspiration from her personal connection with her clients, and her perfectionism and eye for detail are apparent in everything she designs.

Design Philosophy: Olga's main source of inspiration is her personal connection with clients, but virtually anything can be the seed for a concept, especially nature, history, and architecture. She is a perfectionist, detail-oriented, and very European in her sense of style. Her design philosophy is to incorporate new creative ideas into styles which are sophisticated, glamorous, pleasing to the eye, and flattering to her clients.

Influences: Olga’s aesthetic is steadfastly European and heavily influenced by her love of history, architecture, and travel. Having experienced the fashion cultures of Paris, Rome, New York, and Moscow, she brings a directional, cosmopolitan approach to her work. Her innovative design philosophy translates to fresh, chic styles that remain flattering and sophisticated
